On October 26th CIVA Foundation presents the Belgian premiere of the third issue of Pli during a not to be missed launch event.
Pli is an architecture and publishing journal that brings together, shares, questions and experiments. Since the open call for papers and illustrations, it has taken nearly a year to concoct Pli 03: a variation on the theme of conflict in its broadest sense. Points of view, discord and agreement intertwine to deliver a humane and positive definition of conflict applied to the fields of architecture and graphic design… and transposable to many more?
Pli is an annual magazine that questions the interactions between architecture and publishing. Each issue interrogates the timelessness of these two fields, their object value and the human scales on which they play. Pli is first and foremost the result of concrete collaborations, whether between the authors, the illustrators, the partners, or simply the personalities we meet and help move the thought process forward.
Lovers of paper publishing, the team always wanted to create a real object with a strong identity, not least thanks to the use of different types of paper and printing methods. Through the use of paper, various encounters, collaborative events and contrasting perspectives, Pli has become a co–disciplinary platform that strives to rethink and question these trades.
