Conditions of access and use of the archives

Due to the COVID-19 health crisis and the limitation of staff available on site, access to the archives and conditions of use are restricted. Please take note before coming on site:

  • Until further notice, access is only possible by making an appointment via the online form and only for urgent requests. We eventually allow ourselves the right to judge this emergency.

  • We will propose a visit date within a maximum of 10 days from the request, and according to an adapted schedule (Tuesday and Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.).

  • One person maximum at a time can consult the archives. We therefore ask you to make your passage as brief and concentrated as possible.

  • All payments must be made by card at the reception desk of CIVA. The usage prices are unchanged.

  • The use of a mask and hydroalcoholic gel is mandatory. Please use your own equipment. We can optionally provide masks and gels at reception at cost. We provide gloves for viewing documents.

  • The search for documents will be done in advance. Please inform us with as much details as possible of the documents you wish to consult. We draw your attention in particular to the fact that documents from our underground storage cannot be put out during your presence. We will therefore allow you to re-schedule an appointment if this type of document must be remitted in addition to the documents notified by e-mail.

  • The public has access to the cloakroom on the ground floor to store their belongings. The conditions and prices for using scans and photocopies remain the same.

All of these provisions will apply provided that the containment measures are not further strengthened.
