Juan Herreros

Juan Herreros is an acclaimed Spanish architect and educator withmultiple award-winning projects to date, many of them cultural institutions that question issues of democracy, inclusion and participation – and hence that role of architects can play. In his talk The Institutions We Need, Herreros presents key projects, such as the recently completed Munch Museum in Oslo, the Agora events center in Bogota, the Malba Museum in Buenos Aires among others.In addition to his impressive creations, he has strived to redefine the practice of architecture as a full time professor at the School of Architecture in Madrid and at GSAPP Columbia University in New York.
