Workshop to explore the city, illustrate and create a book

In the city, humans and non-humans coexist and live together. When we open our eyes to their existence, we gain a new understanding of the environment around us.

During this workshop, participants will follow in the footsteps of animals to explore their territories in the city.

Slip into the skin of an animal, create burrows, imagine nests, draw webs and then draw them. It's also about discovering shapes, patterns and textures: coats, scales, shells and feathers. Little by little, a book will emerge as an imaginary cartography of the animal.

When I look at the city, I see its territory telling me lots of things, moods, emotions, traces and maybe even stories... I imagine what animals tell each other deep in their burrows: what are their secrets? Where do they hide?

WORKSHOP IN FR.

Animators : Emilie et Elias.

Émilie Seron is an illustrator. She draws mainly for children's magazines. She has also collaborated with the press, contributing to the children's fanzine Cuistax and the magazine Biscoto. Alongside her work, she enjoys sharing her passion through workshops and courses for children

Elias completed his entire artistic career at the Graphic Research School in Brussels where he finished his master's degree. Since he was a child, he has been fascinated by huts but also by the great construction sites of the city. In recent years, he seeks through his artistic work to draw attention to contemporary issues of ecology and to renew a sensitive relationship with the living world that sometimes seems far from us when we live in the city.
