The ground floor of a 1970s flat; a square piece of turf on a slab, growing over 80 cm of soil; underneath, an underground car park... Such were the not-so-inspiring elements of this small urban space!
But with their determination and love of gardens, the owners turned it into a plot admired from every balcony in the building. A vision emerges at once; the back evokes the edge of an undergrowth, a logical, simple plan taking shape as curves soften the straight lines at the front.
Inspired by the books of Noel Kingsbury and Didier Willery, the owner threw herself into this new project, experimenting with this little plot of land that gives her a smile every day.
