Awarded the Natagora label, the hop garden is a garden for experimentation where Didier, driven by passion, shares his trials and errors. In 2017, when he moved into the house, the garden was a patch of lawn bordered by pruned box trees. What a stark contrast to the abundant life present in this now productive garden! With fruit, herbs and vegetables, Didier tries out things and sees what his small garden allows. As he likes to say, nothing has left the garden since! In other words, each and every material is reused, ultimately finding its place through flexibility and inventiveness.
The result is a beautiful and well-balanced space where flowering times follow each other, including of, among others, clematis vines, roses and, in the summer months, hop. As it climbs up the rear façade every year, the enchanting hop that brings this cheerful city garden to life.
