Tof in den Hof

Who, in the bustling life of the Capital of Europe, still remembers our Brusseleir roots? This was back in the days when this rich and colourful language stood for an entire culture and had not yet become a specimen of ghostly folklore!

It was here, in Saint-Josse, that one of the three founders of the magazine Pourquoi Pas? lived.  Journalist and writer Georges Garnir (1868–1939) was fascinated by this colourful Brussels dialect. Worthy successors of his, the current owners have worked to revive the literary past of this place. And they will tell you some great stories! The garden will no doubt astonish you with its trompe-l’œil and mysterious details. For the art of garden landscaping is an art of illusion, a kind of unstable balance oscillating between dream and reality.
