In the framework of the exhibition pre-architectures Brussels-based Austrian artist Aglaia Konrad presents three films from her series Concrete & Samples. In Sculpture House (2007, 12 min) Konrad documents Belgian architect Jacques Gillet´s ‘Sculpture House' (1967-1968), a private dwelling that he realized in collaboration with sculptor Félix Roulin and engineer René Greisch in the outskirts of Liège. Angertal (2011, 17 min), realized by Aglaia Konrad and artist Willem Oorebeek, records the architecture of ants in a biotope in an Austrian valley and intercuts the diligent work of the insects with fundamental questions about senses of belief, perspective and orientation. The film Carrara (2010, 19 min) shows the marble quarry within its 'sculpted' landscape; its temporary architecture and art-historical references.

The screening will be followed by a conversation between Aglaia Konrad, Willem Oorebeek and art historian and curator Stefaan Vervoort.
