Forum: The city dialogue
Who makes the city? Where is the debate on the territory's issues taking place? For whom is the city made? Why is it so slow? What dialogue do we need?
A year ago, a group of architects and urban planners published a carte blanche entitled Faire la ville autrement in Le Soir. About twenty urban actors from different backgrounds responded to this text, contributing to broaden the reflection. The time has now come to open the debate.
Today, thinking about the city seems to have reached a dead end. It is becoming increasingly difficult to know how choices are made, by whom and how citizens can make their voices heard. Tensions are rising and the positions of activists, residents, administrations and developers are becoming polarized. This situation does not allow us to think together about the desirable city of tomorrow. We therefore propose to open the debate during an open forum on the theme of dialogue on the city.
