In 2016 parents at the École du Centre transformed the shrubbery beds in front of the school into a collective public vegetable garden, joining the global Incredible Edible network.
This movement, launched in 2008 by a group of citizens in Todmorden, England, aims to create a free abundance of food for all to share in a process of local, healthy, sustainable, committed and inclusive food autonomy.

Over the past six years, parents and neighbours have been growing vegetables, fruit and flowers in this oasis in the city where residents, parents, walkers and passers-by come together to sit and read as well as to chat and enjoy the sunshine.
