Breathing new life and movement into a neglected garden plot, that was the challenge that Nathalie de Vallée faced in this green space hidden away inside a city block. The landscape designer approached her plans as if they were a painting, ensuring a harmony of volume and colour and creating a fluid movement between the curved, organic flower beds. The result is a fine composition, one that took into account what was already there and reused materials found on site.
A family-friendly and relaxing space, this garden is also home to countless insects and birds that roam the many fruit and herb trees that grace this gourmet garden. A genuine tableau vivant, in which trees, shrubs, grasses and perennials are to be found alongside rarer varieties, such as the deliciously fragrant poet’s narcissus.
