Landscape City Antwerp / Luc Wallays, OMGEVING
Landscape architecture on Thursdays

In spring 2025, Landscape Architecture on Thursdays will focus on Antwerp, a laboratory city recognised internationally for the ambitious urban strategy it has developed over recent decades. In response to the challenges of the environmental crisis, landscape architecture projects play a central role in its urban renewal.
During this event, Luc Wallays from OMGEVING will present several recent Antwerp projects that shed light on the practice's approach. As a multi-disciplinary office, OMGEVING places responses to social and environmental challenges at the heart of its design process, with a particular focus on innovation. Increasing urbanisation, changing mobilities, urban heat islands and social justice issues become powerful catalysts for the creation of desirable, resilient urban spaces.
