Plants, minerals and water mirrors

Entering this beautiful 1930s house is like entering a secret oasis, an island protected by a magnificent chestnut tree, listed as a ‘remarkable tree’.

Then, as you descend, you are guided by a series of small hanging flowerbeds, cascading down to the foot of the house. On the other side, an exotic garden leads to a wilder, flower-filled meadow, and at the far end, a mossy undergrowth will take you by surprise. In this garden, which evokes the wild beauty of the Irish coastline, Isabelle Stevens successfully combines very different decors.
