With It Never Ends, a carte blanche given to the Swiss artist John M Armleder, KANAL-Centre Pompidou will open the six floors of its Showroom one last time before its renovation and reopening, scheduled for 2023. With this carte blanche given to one of the leading artists of contemporary art, KANAL-Centre Pompidou confirms its desire to grow by continuing to experiment, following the example of KANAL Brut.
During this second experiment, CIVA will occupy a part of the first floor of the Showroom. The Bibliothèque à bords perdus is an experiment that anticipates the future library located at Kanal-Centre Pompidou. The idea is to confront a multitude of books with a multitude of ideas by means of several interwoven protocols (selection, classification and presentation of books – borrowing, exchange or donation from the public – invitation to discussions, lectures and screenings). It is a question of gathering in one place several ways of seeing the world, of understanding it, apprehending it and organizing it.
