Who, in the hectic life in the Capital of Europe, still remembers our Brusseleir roots? That was back in the days when this tasty and colourful language was the modus operandi for an entire culture, and not yet a disembodied folklore!

It was here in Saint-Josse that journalist and writer Georges Garnir (1868-1939), 1 of 3 founders of the shop Pourquoi Pas?, was passionate about this distinctive Brussels language. As his worthy successors, the current owners have committed to reviving the literary heritage of this place and can tell you some excellent stories! The garden will surprise you with its trompe-l'oeil and mysterious details. For the art of the garden is the art of illusion, a kind of precarious balance between dream and reality.
