Join the teams of Jeunesses Musicales and CIVA to discover the links between music and architecture!
Fauré, Satie, Ravel and Debussy were musicians who created a different kind of music, one that was freer and more imaginative. Art Nouveau artists also wanted to change the architecture and design of their time, drawing inspiration from nature and organic forms.
During this workshop, we'll explore the world of these artists, drawing inspiration from their lively, inquisitive view on the surroundings. The programme includes drawing, dancing, painting and composing, using curves and counter-curves. A walk down the street will be an opportunity to discover "geometric Art Nouveau", a rectilinear friend of that music, sometimes more discreet, but just as inspiring!
I explore the notes and rhythms of facades: a new creative world opens up to me, where my senses travel to the sound of music and architecture!
