Join the Dehors II team for an introduction to hip hop and graffiti.

CIVA and Jeunesses Musicales de Bruxelles are joining forces to offer a week of "discovering hip hop culture". Participants will be immersed in writing, rap phrasing and graffiti. They will also discover the districts of Brussels where these artistic expressions flourish, creating a link between the history of these districts and the current practice of hip hop.

I'm a bit of an artist, a poet, and the city is my playground. It is both my inspiration and my canvas, my blank page. I like to wander through it, listen to its music, admire its graffiti, read the stories told by its tags, guess at the words and names.

Antonin El-Hage, aka Tonino, is a Belgian-Lebanese rapper born in Namur and based in Brussels. He has developed his musical universe alongside experienced producers with whom he works exclusively for the duration of a project. Le Seize, John-Z , Zed Beatz, Saage and most recently Dee Eye, a beatmaker with multiple certifications. Tonino pays particular attention to his songwriting, which is sometimes introspective, sometimes more ethereal and evocative, but always sincere and authentic. Interested in passing on his work and working with young people, he has been working for several years for the Jeunesses Musicales de Bruxelles and other associations keen to offer slam/rap workshops in schools, cultural centres and youth centres.
