Suspense in the Villa
The Villa Empain is a mysterious place. Behind its luxurious decorations, a game of suspense awaits you! When architecture meets a police investigation and how a place can hide its secrets from us.
During this workshop, we will be creating models, the investigators will solve riddles and write the script for a whodunit featuring completely eccentric and totally Art Deco characters. Clue by clue, an action takes shape, with the construction of a setting, accomplices and villains through Art Deco models.
I decode, solve enigmas, accumulate evidence and scrupulously analyse different suspects. I open this double-locked door: but who is hiding behind this impenetrable world?

Célia teaches art education and introductory drawing classes in secondary schools. At the same time, as a cultural mediator, she enjoys guiding young visitors around museums, helping them to discover works of art and guiding them through the fascinating history of art. Her mission is to awaken children's multi-faceted artistic creativity. She has a particular fondness for the architectural styles of Art Nouveau and Art Deco, and loves wandering through the heart of cities, which she sees as veritable open-air museums.
Yorick Efira is a contemporary artist. His approach to art combines painting, sculpture and drawing. He uses a variety of mediums and materials to explore the possibilities of creating something between 2D and 3D. The ordinary and the city are recurring themes in his work. For several years now, he has been leading multidisciplinary projects with and for children (academies, public schools, non-profit organisations, etc.). In these workshops, he invites and motivates children to create original, colourful models. They are introduced to sculpture through an activity that allows them to make mistakes, experiment and create a work of art.
