The Dieweg Cemetery is one of the most unusual places in the Brussels region. Disused in 1958 and classified in 1997, it is recognized as a green area of high biological value. Little maintained, it has transformed over time, and an incredible diversity of plants has taken over the place, invading the ironworks and ruined monuments. In this mysterious setting combining nature and architecture, the visit will immerse you in history and biodiversity, and explain the essential role of cemeteries within the green network of the region.
