Long and narrow

This is a typical Brussels garden, long and narrow. Its owners have nevertheless given it a strong personality by dividing the space into contrasting surfaces according to the path of the sun: a terrace in Burgundy tiles, a path in bricks on edge, a grassy area and a hut in a paved courtyard. Plants and bushes along the pathways create beautiful beds. From the house, the observer’s gaze plunges through a rose-rich archway  to the alder tree at the back.
