Institution Building - Chapter 0: Hospitality

The first chapter of 'Institution Building' starts with the beginning: an empty space—a few lines on the floor, part of an evolving architecture by Jan de Vylder and Inge Vinck that prefigures the forthcoming chapters of the exhibition like a giant spatial Excel sheet. It creates connections to the structural system of the CIVA building as much as it allows for new, almost accidental configurations.
